I am a silversmith living and working in the New Forest area.
My inspiration comes from observing the contours in nature, from the line
of rivers and the time-worn bark of a fallen tree to the minute shapes found on grass stems and seed pods.
Photographs are worked up into paper designs and then rendered into wearable silver pieces.
BA Hons in Silver Smithing & Jewellery at Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1998.
Young Silversmith of the Year 1997, the candelabrum designed for this
competition is on display in Loughborough Museum.
After graduating I spent time in London working for Jeweller Esther Eyre
and Clock maker Marianne Forrest. This was a valuable time learning about
the Hatton Garden jewellery trade and honing my technical skills.
Also taking private commissions.
